This just in: The work refurbishing The Schoolhouse Theater at Croton Falls is about a week behind schedule, meaning Jon Robin Baitz’s “Ten Unknowns” won’t open as scheduled on Feb. 28.
The facelift project — which prompted the cancellation of the fall play — has added seats to the auditorium, refurbished the bathrooms and fixed the dressing rooms. I’ll tour the site with Artistic Director Pam Moller Kareman in a couple of weeks, but it’s not quite ready for prime time yet.
Kareman, by the way, is pulling double duty these days, directing “Ten Unknowns” in March and Neil Simon’s “Last of the Red Hot Lover” in May while she runs the famed Neighborhood Playhouse in Manhattan. Looking forward to talking with her about her theatrical homes, north and south.
