Irish comedy to open Nov. 10

Actors Jay Stratton, left, and Richard Hollis, rehearse the play “Stones in His Pocket”  at Hudson Stage in Briarcliff Manor Oct. 26, 2012. The two men play dozens of characters in the play, about Hollywood coming to a small Irish town to find the “typical” Irish town. ( Joe Larese/The Journal News )

After losing power at the Briarcliff theater they call home and canceling the first weekend of “Stones in His Pockets,” Hudson Stage has announced that the power is back on at Woodward Hall Theater and so, too, is their fall mainstage production.

The two-man, 13-character play tells the story of a tiny Irish town’s brush with a Hollywood film crew. It stars Richard Hollis and Jay Stratton and is directed by Dan Foster.

There is no show this evening. “Stones in His Pockets” runs weekends only, Nov. 10 to Dec. 2.

8 p.m., Nov. 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 and Dec. 1; 3 p.m., Nov. 11, 17 and Dec. 2. $35, $30 students and seniors, general admission. Discount for those affiliated with Pace. At Woodward Hall Theatre, Pace University, 235 Elm Road, Briarcliff. Reservations through SmartTix: 877-238-5596 or visit: www.hudsonstage.com.
