America voted, and Carly Rose Sonenclar made it (back) into the Top 12 on THE X FACTOR tonight.
Eliminated tonight was Jason Brock, who got the lowest vote total last night. The wrinkle was that the judges had to choose between two sing-off competitors: Brock and Cece Frey. After they sang, the judges split over who should leave.
Of course, these are the same judges—Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, LA Reid and Demi Lovato—who voted 13-year-old Diamond White last week and she was back this week, so you never know….
But Carly moves on to face the live audience (and voters) next Wednesday on Fox.
The better news is that Carly was among the top 2 vote-getters. In fact, she had the second-highest vote total.

Why is the show saying Carly is from Westchester (her county) instead of Mamaroneck (her town). Are they ashamed to be from Mamaroneck? I don’t come from there but if I did I would be a little offended. By the way, I love her and think she can go all the way.

I would think 3 reasons – -
(a) try to appeal to a larger population base to vote for her;
(b) do you really want the crazies of the world to know the small village that you live in?
(c) name recognition of Westchester is far greater than Mamaroneck (which sounds like some upstate Indian community)
Carly is a Child Performer and her parents are concerned for her safety. There are a lot of crazies out there and it is not wise to give out home addresses, schools or home cities. As a parent of a child actor myself we have never given out our kids city of residence and just use Westchester on public media like IMDB. Carly, break legs!!!!!!!
