Just in time for Halloween, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival is having a costume sale.
Tomorrow only, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m in the storefront office at 140 Main Street in Cold Spring.
Among the offerings — on two racks (so get there early) — are costumes from “Richard III,” “Cymbeline” and “Pericles.” Nothing from this past season or the season before, they say, but, hey, if you’re hankering to play a hunch and be Richard for Halloween, this might be the sale for you.
Prices, I’m told, range from $5 to $40. But the cachet of owning a piece of HVSF history — the equivalent of a game-used jersey for festival fans — is priceless.
