Got a note from Jason Summers, who wears many hats these days. He’s artistic director at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre in Mamaroneck and still drives things at the cancer-fighting The Hope For Change Foundation.
It’s in that latter capacity that he reached out, hoping to cast his “Spooktoberfest” at Hart’s Brook Park in Hartsdale.
Here’s part of his note: “I am looking for TONS of people as always to be ghosts, monsters, madmen, and zombies! It is going to be a blast! And the best part is that we raise lots of money for breast cancer research! Come be a part of it. SPOOKTOBERFEST 2012: GHOSTS OF BEDLAM, 7 to 10 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26.
“We are going to have a VERY limited rehearsal schedule this year so I need to ask that if you want to be involved you must be at ALL of the rehearsals. This will help ensure the smoothest preparation for this event. Below are the rehearsals as well as the date of the performance. As always, rehearsals and the event will take place at Hart’s Brook Park and Reserve in Hartsdale. We are looking to fill 60-80 roles this year!
“Dates and times as follows: Oct. 7, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Oct. 21, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (If we feel we need it, we may add a rehearsal on Oct. 25.) On the day of the show — Oct. 26 — you will need to arrive by 5 p.m. Rain date is Oct. 27.
All proceeds go to the Hope for Change Foundation, which helps fund breast-cancer research. Details at the Hope for Change website.
If interested, email Summers, at email@example.com before Sept. 23.
