“Godspell” is back on Broadway, thanks to producer Ken Davenport and Mamaroneck’s Danny Goldstein, who directs.
But local kids from 8 to 18 will be able to take a crack at their own version of the Stephen Schwartz musical, as Triple Threat Teen Workshop presents “Godspell Jr.,” a distilled version of the musical based on the gospel of St. Matthew.
Triple Threat, which works at The Studio at the Saw Mill Club in Mt. Kisco and performs at the Ridgefield Theatre Barn, is holding auditions April 18 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Saw Mill Club, 77 Kensico Drive, Mt. Kisco. Auditioners should prepare 16 bars and be ready to dance and improvise. If cast, tuition is $695 for two weeks. The group is run by Denise Simon and Anne-Marie Gerard Galler.
Rehearsals are from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., July 30 to Aug. 10, with a performance at the Ridgefield Theatre Barn on Aug. 11.
