Actors Conservatory Theatre will hold auditions for Neil Simon’s “Barefoot in the Park,” directed by Thomas Kramer, at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 and March 2. Auditions at ACT’s home, 20 Buckingham Road, Yonkers.
Here’s a character breakdown:
Corrie Bratter- (mid 20’s) A young, impulsive, free spirited newlywed. Sees life as an adventure to be enjoyed every minute.
Paul Bratter- (Mid 20’s –Early 30’s) Her practical, hardworking, attorney husband. Trying hard to adjust to married life with his polar opposite.
Ethel Banks- (50+) Corrie’s plain but loving mother. A widow who is very comfortable with her quiet life. She tries very hard not to disappoint anyone.
Victor Velasco- (50+) Handsome, debonair, exotic upstairs neighbor. He has traveled the world and sampled all it has to offer. Has an accent of indeterminate origin.
Harry Pepper, the telephone man- Age open. Philosophical utility worker.
Delivery Man- Old man forced to deliver packages to a 5 story walk-up. (non-speaking role)
