Kathleen Donovan-Warren teaches and directs at Pleasantville High School during the school year, but returns to Briarcliff each summer to head up the Recreation & Parks Department Summercliff Players. This year, the Players present the satirical romp, “URINETOWN,” directed by Donovan-Warren with musical direction by Nadia Rizzo and technical direction by the stage wizard James Britt. Tuition is $420. You don’t need to be from Briarcliff Manor or Ossining to take part. It’s open to those from middle school to college.
To get the ball rolling, they’ll hold an “interest meeting” May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Briarcliff Manor Youth Center, 5 Van Lu Van Road, where audition packets will be available. After May 17, audition packets can be picked up at the Recreation Department. Auditions will be May 23 at 1 p.m. and May 24 and 26 at 4:30 p.m. at the Briarcliff Manor Recreation Department, 48 Macy Road, Briarcliff Manor. Rehearsal begin June 21 and performances are July 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and July 25 at 2 p.m.
