Auditions: “Zombie Prom,” directed by John Treacy Egan

The Theater District at Pulse Performing Arts Studio in Bedford Hills will hold auditions for “Zombie Prom,” directed by Broadway veteran and local cabaret impresario John Treacy Egan, on June 9. (A preview release had said June 9 and 10, but Egan wrote to say it’s just June 9 now.) Performances are July 23-26 at the Pulse.
“Zombie Prom” is the story of Jonny, the rebel without a H who, distraught over a lost love, throws himself into the nuclear plant. He is buried in a lead box at sea, but returns to take his girl to the prom. It’s kind of like Day of the Dead meets Grease, with a really fun score.
And John Treacy Egan is wildly creative and a fun, fun guy to hang out with.
Makes me wish I could audition.
The Pulse Performing Arts Studio is at Route 117 Bypass Road (at the Harris Road Intersection), Bedford Hills. Call 877-22PULSE OR 914-241-0200.
