More details about The Metropolitan Awards, to be handed out June 8 at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill. (Nominations will be announced LIVE on Lohud.com at 7 p.m. Monday May 18.)

Adam and Todd Stone, aka Stone and Stone, will be the emcees for the awards. The identical twins were seen on “Last Comic Standing” and have some pretty funny videos on Youtube and on their Web site—www.stoneandstone.org.
They were involved with Pelham High School’s theater productions and performed onstage at “The Helens” when their productions were nominated for overall outstanding production. In 2001, Adam Stone, played Zach (the director), in Pelham High School’s production of “A Chorus Line,” which won for Outstanding Overall Production.
Should make for an entertaining evening in Peekskill.

White Plains’ native Jennifer Damiano has been nominated
for a Tony as best-featured-actress in a musical for her portrayal of Natalie in “Next to Normal.”
I talked with fellow nominee, composer Tom Kitt of Armonk, who called Jenn’s nomination, at age 17, “staggering.”
Jenn called me a bit ago and we talked about her momentous morning, which started with her oversleeping the announcement by 40 minutes.
She woke to a phone call from her manager, Emily Gerson-Saines.

Last Friday, Walter Panas High School’s Panas Players opened “South Pacific” and then went to the Mohegan Diner to unwind.
They had a cast party, too, but the diner after Opening Night is a must for most high-schoolers. (I know it was when I did theater, at a time right after the Greeks. Fifty of us would go to Denny’s for burgers and fries. Some of us would even drink coffee.)
Where is your theater eatery? What do you guys order? How late did you stay? Did you pretty much take over the whole place?
As for Panas, see Angie Gaul’s great photos here. And check out Angie’s video at www.lohud.com/highschoolmusicals
