Metro nominations LIVE tonight!

May
18

Tune in to lohud.com tonight to check out the nominees for the 11th annual Metropolitan Awards, honoring the best of the participating high school musicals in Rockland, Westchester and Bergen counties. We had planned to cover them from Riverspace in Nyack, where the awards began, but we’ll instead have them live in our Harrison studio, a more intimate setting.

Go to www.lohud.com/live and watch the nominations live at 7 p.m. You can also catch them on demand there, too.

Hi Peter, just checking in to ask if there will be a printed sheet on the website aswell like last year or if the webcast is the only way this year?

I’ll have them here on my blog tonight and I’m hoping to get them in tomorrow’s editions of The Journal News. If you want to catch up on any of the shows, and see videos from each (including Port Chester’s Godspell which you had a hand in), check out lohud.com/highschoolmusicals. That’s where all of my stories have been archived, along with videos from each school. It’s a cool way to look back on the season…

Thanks Peter! I look forward to seeing it in the Journal as well!

About this blog
If it involves theater in any way -- from grade-schoolers learning Shakespeare to high school musicals to Broadway veterans getting into character -- this is the place to talk about it. We'll have audition notices, casting notices, mini-reviews and plenty of ideas to fill a theater junkie's to-do list.
