Locally grown plays, read in Greenwich

March
11

Award-winning Westchester playwrights Rosemary Foley and Albi Gorn will have their works, “Ophelia’s Mother” and “It’s About Forgiveness,” performed as part of the Acting Company of Greenwich’s popular lunchtime series, Play With Your Food, not to be confused with the Play With Your Food summer play-reading series at Stony Point’s Penguin Rep.

The plays will be read on April 2 and 3 at the Greenwich Arts Council. A buffet lunch at noon will be followed by professional actors reading the plays and participating in a brief discussion with the audience. The program concludes at 1:30 p.m.

rosemary-foley.jpg Rosemary Foley’s comedy, “Ophelia’s Mother,” was originally produced at the Greenwich Theatre Artists Workshop and was a finalist at the 2004 Samuel French Festival in New York. Her play “I’m Sorry, I’m Sorry” won the International Festival of New Works at the University of Cincinnati. She lives in Pelham.

He lives in Hastings, with his wife, Robin Anne Joseph, and two kids.
