Except for a couple of "awkward" scenes (which I'm sure will be fixed as the run goes on), the show was a feast of sight and sound. The sets, costumes, lighting and special effect were colorful and amazing. The addition of songs for Eric, Ariel, Triton and Flounder gave the story & character development a little more depth. Sierra Boggess is outstanding, both vocally and her portrayal of an innocent and naive Ariel growing up. Of course, Sherie Rene Scott was amazing as Ursula. I'm sure there will be some critics who will pan the show because it's very Disney - but that's the point - it should be Disney and it will introduce many more younger people to the theater experience.
