Strike impact: “Mermaid” postpones opening

We knew it would happen, but today, Disney Theatricals made it official:

â€œAs a result of the current labor dispute, the new Broadway production of Disneyâ€™s â€˜The Little Mermaidâ€™ has postponed its previously announced Opening Night performance on Dec. 6th. Previews will resume when the dispute is resolved and a revised plan for opening night will be announced at that time.â€?

It must be so frustrating to be this close, to be working toward a night and then have it pushed back.
