“Little Shop” in Croton; Menken on “Mermaid”

July
19

Read my story here about Adam Weinrib and Irene Corvinus, who join forces to create Audrey II in “Little Shop of Horrors” in Croton this weekend.

Adam is very outgoing and funny—  just follow the link and check out the photo—while Irene is shy. Little Shop sounded great in rehearsal, under director Tom Berger.

By the way, I’m off to interview Alan Menken today. He wrote “Little Shop”—along with “Beauty and the Beast,” songs for “Aladdin” and the headed-to-Broadway “Little Mermaid.”

I’m working on another Broadway-bound series—similar to what I did for “Curtains” last year—on “The Little Mermaid,” with plenty of stories already on the budget. So stay tuned….

We'll have audition notices, casting notices, mini-reviews and plenty of ideas to fill a theater junkie's to-do list.
